The Victoria de los Ángeles Lied Cycle pays tribute to the Barcelona soprano by combining three of the facets that defined her: love of Lied, excellence and encouragement of new talents.
The Victoria de los Ángeles Foundation promotes this cycle dedicated to the Lied genre, which the Catalan singer approached with such success.
It also offers recitals by internationally renowned artists (LIFE Recitals), an innovative format that gives young performers the opportunity to sing alongside established musicians (LIFE New Artists) as opening acts, and a series of parallel training activities (LIFE Masterclasses).

'Journeys of the Soul'
Why do we travel? George Sand asked herself this as early as 1841 in the quote that opens this program. Is it an escape or a discovery? An enrichment or a loss? A sign of courage or of weakness?
The reasons that lead us to embark on a journey are diverse, but undoubtedly the capacity for transformation involved in moving from one place to another seems to have no equal…
