Michał Biel & Jakub Józef Orliński

An emerging Jakub Józef Orliński debuted at LIFE Victoria in 2018 alongside his good friend and pianist Michał Biel. This Barcelona debut made a significant impact on both the public and critics, with a packed Sala Domènech i Montaner. Since then, his career has been truly meteoric, from the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence to the Metropolitan Opera in New York, passing through London's Wigmore Hall, Paris's Théâtre des Champs Elysées, and New York's Carnegie Hall, under the direction of William Christie, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, and Raphaël Pichon. In Barcelona, since that debut, he has appeared numerous times at the Palau de la Música Catalana and, more recently, at the Gran Teatre del Liceu for the Concert for Peace, organized by the Victoria de los Ángeles Foundation. As part of the recital tour he will offer in the 2025-26 season, the countertenor and pianist have chosen LIFE Victoria to present their recital in Barcelona, specifically in the recently named Victoria de los Ángeles Hall at Auditori L’Illa.
